Hello!

Hi, I’m Micha — a writer, wife, and bonus mom with a heart fully devoted to Jesus. Writing has always been a passion of mine, and this blog is a space where I share the messages the Lord places on my heart.

I’ve been married to my amazing husband for two years, and together we’re raising two beautiful children. Being a bonus mom is one of the greatest blessings in my life. As a family, we love the Lord and strive to let His love guide our every step.

Throughout my life, I’ve served in youth ministry and found my deepest joy in helping others grow closer to Jesus. Serving Him isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am. Jesus is my heartbeat and my reason for everything.

When I met my husband in 2021, the Lord opened my eyes even more to the contrast in the world around us — a world so often divided into black and white, where grace and love are overlooked. This blog, Living in a World of Black and White, is my prayerful offering to anyone longing for more of His truth, love, and light. I hope it blesses you in a special way!

Open the Door!

 I love the lessons of life.  There are moments I feel the Lord directing lessons right toward me.  Last week I had this lesson that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.   At work, we all have a security key fob that has different accesses to departments of the company. One of my coworkers stopped by my office to let me now that she needed access to the IT room.  I shared with her that I believe she already had access to the door.  All she needed to do was open it. She questioned and doubt herself for a few moments and then she proceeded to walk through the open door. I laughed with her and shared how she always had the power to access the open doors, she didn’t believe in the door opening and doubted herself. BAM!!! Real vs Fake

I’ve been spending some time working outside this spring. In NW Ohio, the weather has been like a roller coaster. My closet currently doesn’t know what season it is! Anyway, since I’ve been spending more time outside, I’ve started noticing the flowers on people’s homes as I drive by. It gives me a sense of encouragement—like, yes, I  can  grow a flower all season without letting it die! It also inspires my creativity as I think about what else I’d like to add to our home. One day, I was driving past a couple of houses and noticed these bright, perfect flowers. They looked like they came straight out of  Better Homes & Gardens . How could something look so easy to grow and so perfect? Then one day, while scrolling through Facebook, I saw an ad for fake flowers in hanging pots available on Amazon.
